Joe Lewis Whittaker, Co-Founder
May 23, 1949 - March 4, 2014

It is with much sadness yet rejoicing in a life well lived, that we share with you the news of Joe's passing at his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 4th, 2014. Joe battled with his health since 2003, but more so since his stroke in January of 2013. He has always been a man of determination and has worked extremely hard to overcome any adverse circumstance that has come his way, however, this last hurdle was too much. He was a man of strong faith, character, integrity, generosity and perseverance. Joe was a very successful businessman and entrepreneur who came from humble beginnings and had a passion to give back. His heart's desire , his passion and his energies over the past few years was to see the completion of the orphanage, clinic and chapel at the Reliable Charitable Foundation of Hope in Chongwe, Zambia.

Everyone who knew Joe loved him and we will all miss him dearly.
